Grant Thornton Capital a diversified financial services company, was established in 1991 from within the Grant Thornton Johannesburg audit practice, itself part of Grant Thornton International. The Johannesburg practice was established in 1920.

Grant Thornton Capital Management Company is a Unit Trust Management company, which is registered in terms of the Collective Investment Schemes Control Act, and is a licensed investment manager for both retirement funds and private clients in accordance with The Financial Services Board requirements.

First Light Admin was purchased by Niche Wealth Management in September 2011. First Light Admin is a retirement fund administration business which is now incorporated into Grant Thornton Capital’s Employee Benefit administration business.
